Biography

Jong Geon Kim completed a Doctoral Program in Public Administration at University of Seoul (Korea). 1992 he started his career in civil service and has a wide experience in the field of urban affairs. From 1993 to 1995 he was Director for Culture Communication, for Industry, for Budget Planning and Deputy Director for Public Transport in different districts of Seoul. After these years he worked as Director for Administrative Affairs and Director for Proceedings for the Seoul Metropolitan Council. In the years 2012 and 2015 he worked as Director for Infrastructure Management and in the year 2013 he was Director for Information System Planning. Afterwards in 2017 he was Director for Seoul City West Park Greenery Office. With more than 20 years experience in the public sector he now is Director General for Air Quality of the Seoul Metropolitan Government.
