Matt Elis
Biography
Matt Ellis holds a degree in Town and Country Planning, with a specific focus on environmental capacity to support sustainable growth, flood and climate resilience. He has 20 years’ experience in public sector and local government in UK. Since 2007 he became the Environment Agency’s North West England Climate adaptation specialist. Since 2012, seconded into the Greater Manchester Combined Authority to provide climate resilience support for the City Region and working with the 10 constituent Municipalities. Actively delivering city practitioner level climate resilience and particularly the aim of embedding tools into local government practice and decision making. Particularly focussing on co-creation of tools and enabling their embedding and application by users locally to drive adaptation performance.
