Thomas Stasch

Thomas is Head of Information Security of a public data centre that provides IT services for local governments.

His career began in the early 90s in the field of information technology where he spent several years working as a systems administrator in the local government of Siegburg, Germany. Later, he studied Computer Sciences and obtained both a diploma and a MSc. Additionally, he worked for a global logistics company, where he was responsible for web applications. Since 2010, Thomas has been dealing with security issues and is the first to head a Cyber Emergency Response Team at regional level.

The aim of his work is to make local governments aware of the existing threats and the significant value of the data they are dealing with.
